About

Sandra.jpgCitizen Haiti | Sitwayen Ayiti  is social media platform for Haiti -
 citizen journalism

The aim is to encourage voices from the ground to speak up and encourage people to take part in rebuilding the country .

We partner with Noula.ht, the crowd-source platform (based on Ushahaidi) Noula has a call center to capture peoples' concerns.

We produce the popular Radio Tap Tap program played on a fleet of over 100 public buses and over FM radio nationwide.

Citizen Haiti is supported by the International Organization for Migration, IOM which has been working in Haiti for nearly two decades

Below, children read the comic journal Chimen Lakay which is produced by IOM

The inspiration for the site was the outpouring of letters from the country's 1,300 camps which received front page coverage in The New York Times
